Who we are

Tina Hancocks Nutrition Ltd (the “Company”) provides nutritional therapy services to clients to improve their health through diet and lifestyle interventions.  We focus on preventative healthcare, the optimisation of physical and mental health and chronic health conditions.  Through nutritional therapy consultations, dietary and lifestyle analysis and biochemical testing, we aim to understand the underlying causes of your health issues which we will seek to address through personalised dietary therapy, nutraceutical prescription (supplements) and lifestyle advice. We also carry out specialised online and in person workshops and educational seminars as well as nutritional programmes both online and in person throughout the year (the “Services”).

If you wish to speak to someone about the policy, please contact us on hello@tinahancocks.com.

We respect your right to privacy and will only process personal information about you in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We comply with General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (the “Data Protection Legislation”). If any of these laws are replaced or superseded, we will also comply with that.

What we may collect

Personal data, or personal information, is any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you when you use our Website or use our Services. Whenever we collect personal data about you, we must have a legal ground to do so.

If you contact a member of our team to discuss customer service matters or to discuss our Services, we will use your name and email address when we interact with you. We may also collect a whole range of personal information from you to discuss the matter you require our assistance with, and in order to provide you with the Services. The legal basis we have for this is to perform our contract with you – we require this information to be able to assist you with your request for Services or with the customer service issue you have raised.

Following completion of your healthcare we retain your personal data for the period defined by our professional association and registrant body, the ANP.  This enables us to process any complaint you may make.  In this case the legal basis of our holding your personal data is for contract administration.

We will then use your name and email address to send you information about your matter or issue raised (including to provide you with updates on changes to this policy or security information). Our legal basis for using your name and email address in this way is to provide you with relevant information relating to the security of your online account, to ensure you have up-to-date information on how we handle your personal data, and to perform our contract with you (as we have outlined above).

We may ask you whether you want to opt-in to our marketing information. If you say yes to this, we will use your email address to provide you with marketing information about our products and services and newsletters. Our legal basis for this is that you have provided your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at hello@tinahancocks.com.

We may use your personal data where there is an overriding public interest in using the information e.g. in order to safeguard an individual, or to prevent a serious crime.

Information we get from other sources

We may obtain sensitive medical information in the form of test results from biochemical testing companies.  We use this information in order to provide you with the Services.  This means that the legal basis of holding your personal data is for legitimate interest.

We may obtain sensitive information from other healthcare providers.  The provision of this information is subject to you giving us your express consent. If we do not receive this consent from you, we will not be able to coordinate your healthcare with that provided by other providers, which means the healthcare provided by us may be less effective.

How long do you hold confidential information for?

All records held by Tina Hancocks Nutrition Ltd will be kept for the duration specified by guidance from our professional association, the ANP.
